1. A new estimate from the CDC says 1 in 45 children have autism. Other recent studies by the government have pegged the number at 1 in 50 or 1 in 68. All three of those, though, are much larger than the CDC’s 2007 estimate that just 1 in 150 kids had autism. (Find the 21-page CDC report here.)
2. The prosecutor in the Jared Fogle child exploitation case asked the judge to send the former Subway pitchman to jail for 12.5 years, the maximum sentence allowed under the plea deal.
