| Laverne Cox and Caitlyn Jenner have not only been widely accepted as trans women, they have even been embraced as style icons by some. But the recent spike in murders of trans people and the staggering fact that 41% of trans people attempt suicide at some point in their lives prove that not everyone is celebrated for living their truth.
