Nearly 1 in 5 U.S. adults experiences mental illness in a given year, but it’s a struggle that people don’t talk about openly enough. Twenty-year old Bekah Miles made a bold choice to fuel the conversation by getting inked with words that read “I’m fine” to anyone looking at her head-on, but flip to “save me” from her vantage point. Her underlying message is that someone may seem okay, but could be fighting an internal battle — a message that many of us can relate to.
