House Oversight and Government Reform Committee member Rep. Eleanor Holmes Norton, D-District of Columbia, joins Current TV’s John Fugelsang to share her reaction to the committee’s hearing into how the U.S. government handled the aftermath of the Sept. 2012 terror attacks in Benghazi, Libya. Republican politicians have been focusing on former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton as they raise questions about the response.
“Hillary Clinton is the most popular politician in the United States today. They are afraid to death that Hillary Clinton will get out here and run and so they’re trying early to injure her,” Norton says. “But, you know, the more [they] said ‘Hillary Clinton’ in this, the more people rallied to the Democrats because Hillary Clinton has so much credibility, they haven’t touched her.”
