Spire Raised to One World Trade

The Western Hemisphere's tallest building is receiving its finishing touches. On Thursday, workers hoisted a spire to the top of One World Trade Center, built in the spot of the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks. The spire, which holds a flag and lights, is waiting on a temporary platform to be permanently attached. Steven Plate, head of construction, said the addition will "give a tremendous indication to people around the entire region and the world that we are back and we are better than ever."
