On a hypothetical presidential ballot, Hillary Clinton comes out ahead of Jeb Bush, Chris Christie, Ohio Gov. John Kasich, Rand Paul, and Paul Ryan, with women and African-Americans overwhelmingly supporting Clinton in each match-up. The GOP favorites for presidential nominee were Rand Paul and Chris Christie, each at 17%. Rand Paul was the top choice for “very liberal” and “very conservative” voters.
House Speaker John Boehner’s approval rating was 20-59, including 34% of Republicans disapproving. Support for recognition of gay couples is strong: 69% of voters support either civil unions or marriage. 64% of 18-45-year-olds support same-sex marriage.
