ALVIN GREENE: FORMER U.S. SENATE CANDIDATE FROM SOUTH CAROLINA ARRESTED FOR TRESPASSING
Alvin Greene, 35, was arrested by police in Myrtle Beach, SC on August 9, 2013 for trespassing at a local apartment complex. According to news reports, he was walking around disoriented and asked for medical treatment. Paramedics were called and check him over, and then he was placed under arrest by police on scene. He was booked into the Horry County Jail with bond set at $282. No further details have been released surrounding his arrest. Greene is an Army veteran who was put up to run for the U.S. Senate in 2010. Despite the fact he did not campaign or spend any money, he won the 2010 primary. However, he was soundly defeated in the incumbent Senator Jim DeMint.
