We’ve all been there — that moment you notice your Facebook Newsfeed is overflowing with couples announcing the arrival of a baby, or a baby’s gender. But Facebook’s own CEO Mark Zuckerberg just announced his baby news on social media in a uniquely powerful way. “We want to share one experience to start,” he wrote (on Facebook, naturally). “We've been trying to have a child for a couple of years and have had three miscarriages along the way.” We could all take a lesson from this kind of honesty. As Mic's Ellie Krupnick notes here, Zuckerberg’s openness could actually be a boon to young people ready to take that leap into parenthood. |
