Charleston shooting suspect Dylann Roof will be indicted on federal hate crime charges. Roof was hit with 33 federal charges Wednesday that include hate crime offenses, adding to the other charges he already faces, including nine counts of murder. In his haunting manifesto that was discovered online, Roof wrote, "I have no choice. I am not in the position to, alone, go into the ghetto and fight. I chose Charleston because it is most historic city in my state, and at one time had the highest ratio of blacks to Whites in the country.” Prosecutors have not decided whether or not to seek the death penalty.
