This is the final showdown to stop Republicans from starting a war with Iran

This is the final showdown to stop Republicans from starting a war with Iran.
The United States, Iran and five other world powers announced a historic deal to dramatically curb Iran's nuclear program in exchange for easing international sanctions on Iran.1
Republicans who simply prefer endless war over diplomacy and peace are already trying to sabotage the deal and put us back on the path to dropping bombs on Iran.
Republicans won’t get the war they want unless Democrats help them. We need to speak out right now and urge Democrats to support diplomacy. we are launching a major campaign this week to send tens of thousands of petition signatures and calls to Congress – will you join us?
The truth is, Republicans don’t want diplomacy to work. They want another costly war like the one they led us into in Iraq in 2003.
President Obama will veto any legislation that would blow up this deal. Sadly, however, some Democrats in Congress have shown a willingness to back Republicans’ efforts to sabotage diplomacy.
If we can get enough Democrats on record in support of the deal to sustain President Obama’s veto, we can beat back any efforts to blow up diplomacy.
The math is simple. We need to organize a firewall of 146 representatives and 34 senators who will sustain the president’s veto. One-third, plus one, in the House or Senate – that’s what we need. If we can build a pro-peace firewall in Congress, we will have the votes we need to defend the deal from Republican attacks.
Please take action right now to urge Democrats to publicly back the deal and pledge to oppose any efforts to undermine it.
Thank you for taking action.
