It’s Either Iran Nuclear Deal or ‘Some Sort of War,’ Obama Warns

President Barack Obama warned that rejection of the Iran deal could put the U.S. on the path to a new war. "It’s hard to imagine a worse approach than blocking this deal,” Obama said at American University on Wednesday. He called the ongoing fight "the most consequential foreign policy debate our country has had since the invasion of Iraq." But he has some convincing to do; a recent poll showed widespread voter opposition to the agreement, which would lift economic sanctions in Iran in exchange for intense restrictions to its nuclear program. Congress has until September to review the deal, but meanwhile you can watch our interview with White House Deputy National Security Advisor Ben Rhodes to learn more about what it could mean for you.
