An essential element of building political power for our movement is electing bold, progressive climate activists to office at all levels. That could be you! Come to a unique cross-movement climate candidate training, the day after the People’s Climate March in our nation’s capital.
The climate movement is rooted in the pursuit of justice in a world being torn apart by a global system of exploitation and oppression. It's time for our politics to reflect our principles.
Getting elected to local office can lead to tremendous victories for climate justice, whether by stopping an export coal terminal, divesting a city pension fund from fossil fuels, helping front-line communities recover from climate disasters, or by establishing programs to invest in green jobs to build resilient, renewable infrastructure.
This one-day candidate training will be the first of many steps you can take to dismantle fossil-fueled oppression and build a just and sustainable society.
WHAT: People’s Climate Candidate Training
WHEN: April 30, 2017 8:30am-3:30pm

This training is for you if:
- you are considering running for office yourself in the next one to three years,
- you want to help a friend run for office,
- or you want to learn how a local electoral strategy could help your campaign.

We’re working with some amazing partners on a curriculum to help climate activists like you launch the initial framework of an electoral campaign. Featuring elected climate champions and top progressive trainers, the training will help you take the energy of the March for Jobs, Justice, and the Climate and turn it into real political power.

Partners providing trainers include Democracy for America, Progressive Change Campaign Committee, and the Working Families Party.
This training will be open to participation through the internet as well as in person in Washington, D.C.
Space for in-person attendance is limited but the webinar is not — please RSVP now!
Your fellow MoveOn member and climate hawk,

Brad Johnson
