Recent polling suggests that Mitt Romney may have narrowed the gender gap between himself and Barack Obama in terms of voters. But the enthusiasm isn't translating to dollars for the campaign: A Center for Responsive Politics analysis of each campaign's large-dollar donations on a month-by-month basis shows that, as Obama accused the GOP of waging a "war on women," his fundraising dollars from women have stayed steady and Romney's have declined.
In 2011, 44 percent of Obama's money came from female donors -- but in the months of January, February and April 2012 it was up to 46 percent, the analysis shows.
