The top 10 GOP presidential candidates squared off in Cleveland, Ohio.Fox News anchor Megyn Kelly did a great job of standing up for women withDonald Trump center stage, while Rand Paul and Chris Christie actually had an incredibly real debate about civil liberties. Also encouraging: 4 years after booing a gay soldier, this Republican debate crowd actually cheered for LGBT acceptance.
Carly Fiorina didn't make the cut for the main event, but she made quite an impression during the earlier debate (pegged by some as the "kids table" debate). She was also the most Googled name outside the top ten, and wowed us all by holding her own against Chris Matthews
Jon Stewart bid The Daily Show an emotional goodbye. His last episode featured a full gallery of the many correspondents that he's helped make famous during his 16 years at the helm, and a truly historic speech on how to combat bullshit now that he's done. But no star shone brighter than Stephen Colbert, who brought the departing host to tears. We'll miss you, Jon.
