A 29-year-old man opened fire at an Antioch, Tennessee theater with what turned out to be an airsoft gun. Vincente Montano, a homeless man who reportedly had "significant mental health issues," fired shots from the toy gun at a Carmike Hickory 8 screening of Mad Max: Fury Road before he was fatally shot by police Wednesday. One person reportedly suffered superficial wounds from a hatchet he wielded and three others were treated for exposure to his pepper spray.
President Barack Obama warned that rejection of the Iran deal could put the U.S. on the path to a new war. "It’s hard to imagine a worse approach than blocking this deal,” Obama said at American University on Wednesday. He called the ongoing fight "the most consequential foreign policy debate our country has had since the invasion of Iraq."
