A framework was reached today for a nuclear deal with Iran, and the White House released a fact sheet today of a “joint comprehensive plan of action.”
As the document details, Iran agreed to reduce its centrifuges by two-thirds and its stockpile of low-enriched uranium, and will not build any new facilities for enriching for the next fifteen years.
Meanwhile, certain sanctions against Iran will be lifted “if it verifiably abides by its commitments.” But other sanctions “for terrorism, human rights abuses, and ballistic missiles will remain in place under the deal.”
