Joe Scarborough auditioned for a job on Fox News

Still promoting his book promoting the Republican Party, Scarborough was taken to task about his criticism of the GOP and other high-profile conservatives. Kelly did not make things easy for the former Florida congressman, asking him how he can be a "true conservative" when
he's constantly warring with right-wing luminaries like Fox's own Sean Hannity.
"First of all, I'm not at war. As you know, I'm a uniter not a divider," Scarborough said.
"I don't know that," Kelly shot back. "I don't know you at all."
Scarborough maintained that he loves Rush Limbaugh and has spoken to Glenn Beck "a bit," but conceded that he "didn't know about Sean [Hannity]."
When Kelly asked Scarborough about his White House ambitions (which he's dismissed), the "Morning Joe" host complimented the Fox News studio.
"There's still a blonde woman on that set interrupting you at every turn," Kelly cracked, referring to Scarborough's sidekick Mika Brzezinski.
"Only if you snapped your fingers at me, you'd have eight fingers instead of ten," Kelly quickly added, a dig at one of Scarborough's more infamous on-air moments.
Normally one to dominate interviews on his own show, Scarborough ultimately found himself being talked over by Kelly, who seemed to lose interest in the book promotion.
After thanking Fox News chairman Roger Ailes for allowing him to make an appearance, Scarborough mounted one final defense of his conservative credentials. Kelly wasn't having it.
"If you want to see more of Joe, you can join his four viewers and see it tomorrow morning," she joked.
It was Scarborough's second job interview on Fox News to promote his book, "The Right Path,"and he's spoken warmly of Ailes in the past. Last year, when the book's endless promotional tour had just begun, Scarborough told TPM he has "a lot of friends over at Fox" and called Ailes's career at the conservative cable news channel "extraordinary."
