Remember when you slid your backpack off after school and suddenly felt like you were so light you could float? There’s an unfortunate reason for that. Carrying a backpack that weighs around 40 pounds is the equivalent of walking around with a golden retriever hanging from your shoulders. All that weight did a number on your spine — and it may have even made you shorter.
