Breaking: Chris Christie Appoints NJ Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa To Fill Frank Lautenberg’s Senate Seat

 New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie announced that he would appoint New Jersey’s Republican Attorney General Jeffrey Chiesa to fill the late Sen. Frank Lautenberg’s (D-NJ) seat in the U.S. Senate. Chrisite said that Chiesa will be sent to the Senate on June 10 to fill that seat until the Garden State holds a special election on October 16 to select a senator who will serve the remainder of Lautenberg’s term.
